Talking Story with A.I.

∆*∆ ... often, as in so many popular art forms, I will use a "reference" image in the creation process of a new and unique piece of art. Similar to the view in plein-air, a photograph for an oil painting, music for a writer... we all are familiar with the various forms of inspiration.

The image on the right is a set of spoons Mom had stacked prepping for a table setting...the light play caught my eye so I fanned their handles out... thinking 'fish scales', and took a picture with my camera phone (Google Pixel 6).

The image on the left is one of eight that an A.I. produced when I fed it the reference image and gave it some top-secret instructions (mostly mathematical terms, in English) in hopes of getting what I thought might be possible. * This image could still use refinement (using two other, different A.I.).

"Prompting", or communicating with a machine, in this case an incredibly powerful and fast A.I. super-duper computer, is a special skill that mostly involves learning how to accurately describe your own imagination... as opposed to my early machine languages of DOS, Basic, Cobol, HTML, and that all-inclusive ETC, that limited us to the relatively primitive skills of the machines of that era.
